Lorenzo wins in Valencia to clinch the title

The MotoGP world championship finale took place in Valencia in a contrast way with championship contender Jorge Lorenzo starting from pole while championship leader Valentino Rossi starting from the last on the gird.

Yamaha rider Lorenzo gunned into the lead at the start with Honda riders Marquez and Pedrosa following while the last man Valentino Rossi busted through the field or 26 riders with an immaculate start. 

Lorenzo, Marquez and Pedrosa pulled away from the rest of pack as Rossi was making his way through the mid field overtaking every rider with clinical presicion from all corners while Andrea Iannone crashed on lap 2. 

By lap 3 lap Rossi was up to 9th after starting 26th and he reached 4th by lap 12 but at the front Lorenzo was leading with Marquez not making any real challenge for the win.

While Rossi tried everything possible in protect his championship lead but it was not enough as he couldnt catch his rival Lorenzo.

Pedrosa who backed off from Lorenzo and Marquez during mid race regained speed and closed on back again on the leaders. On the last lap Pedrosa attacked Marquez and got closer to Lorenzo but Marquez cleverly deviated his team mate back to 3rd.

Lorenzo crossed the line to win and sealed his 3rd world title with 5points ahead of Rossi who finished 4th. Marquez and Pedrosa came 2nd and 3rd but whole paddock came out in praise and support of Rossi who lost his 10th title to his team mate with the controversy of Marquez supporting Lorenzo.
